Managing Director
David Newman founded Newman Landscapes Ltd in 2007 after being involved in the horticultural industry since leaving school in 1998.
From a young age David always had a keen interest in horticulture. David could often be found in the garden creating spaces to attract wildlife or on the allotment. One of David’s earliest projects was the creation of wildlife area with a pond at his school for which he received a Special Commendation from the local MP.
After leaving school David attended the highly acclaimed Moreton Morrell College in Warwickshire, where he studied all aspects of the Horticulture Industry and sharpened his skills. As a student David was involved in a lot of prestigious projects including designing award-winning gardens for BBC Gardeners World Live at the NEC and The Chelsea Flower Show.
Since launching Newman Landscapes Ltd, David has not stood still. Besides maintaining a successful business, David has also designed sensory gardens and wildlife gardens for local schools. Recently, David designed a Dementia Garden for a Local Nursing Home to the delight of the staff and residents. David was also the proud recipient of a Silver Medal from the Royal Horticultural Society for his show garden at Gardeners World Live at the NEC in 2014.
Business Advisor
Walter joined Newman Landscapes Ltd in 2020, following his retirement from a large international blue-chip company. His prior senior responsibilities included the involvement in Sales & Marketing and International Growth across the Americas, Europe, and the United Kingdom. Walter has a proven track record of strengthening leadership capabilities, building organization capability and effectiveness, as well as supporting large scale change initiatives within an externally competitive environment.
Walter’s role within Newman Landscapes Ltd is to facilitate forward planning and provide effective control for a business plan to improve performance and results. Walter’s motivational attitude enables his co-workers to achieve the best results, and is a firm believer that goals are the key in leading and motivating a successful workforce.

Maintenance Manager
Michael began his horticulture career on the golf course. Beginning at Cottesmore Country Club for ten years he left to become Deputy Head Green Keeper at Lamerwood Country Club. After being in the position for two years he was promoted to Course Manager and remained there in that position for a further ten years. He then became Course Manager at Crosby Golf Club but was made redundant after eight years of service. Following redundancy, Michael made the move over to grounds maintenance.
After working as an operative for a year for another Grounds Maintenance company, Michael joined Newman Landscapes Ltd in 2015, as a Team Leader. Michael’s abilities valued experience were recognised which soon progressed him to his current role as Maintenance Manager.
Contracts Manager
Lucy has been involved with Newman Landscapes Ltd since the very beginning and joined the team officially in November 2021. Prior to working for Newman Landscapes Ltd Lucy worked in the Public Sector for over 12 years, which including working for Warwickshire County Council for almost 10 years.
Lucy’s role began as Business Administration and Social Media Support here at Newman Landscapes. She is now the Contracts Manager and is a welcome asset to the business.
Accounts Manager
Hayley Eaves started working life doing basic admin work for a small engineering company. She then furthered her career to work for a large Steel Stockholding Company where she was promoted from within to the Accounts Department. After a small work hiatus following the start of her family, Hayley returned to work to join Newman Landscapes 15 years ago. Her role covers the accounting, payroll and administrative functions and has seen the company grow from its origins to where it is now. Hayley is very organised and has a favourite saying is ‘A place for everything and everything in it’s place’ and tries to apply this practice to her role. Hayley’s educational background includes AAT.
Office Administrator & PA to the Director
Michelle joined Newman Landscapes in March 2024 as Office Administrator.
Prior to this Michelle worked within the public sector for over 20 years, including admin support to Warwickshire County Council for 10 years, and as a Senior Care Assistant managing teams and completing admin within various sectors in this role for 10 years. Michelle also provided admin and some accounts support to Sunderland Marine Insurance Company for 7 years.
Landscaping frequently asked questions
We propose that a high pressure washer (Karcher) is used without using any specific chemicals.
Yes, all rubbish / waste is removed from site and recycled in accordance with environmental standards.
Unfortunately, our team works to a schedule to ensure all our clients get our attention at the allotted time. We will return on the next planned date, and if you have additional work you require just talk to our team to make a request.
Payment option are payment on completion of the project/works
We most certainly are! Health & Safety standards are of uppermost importance within all our activities.
Newman is contracted to a number customers. Grounds Maintenance is our core business.
All Newman Vans are stocked with all the equipment needed to maintain your site to the best standard possible.
Great care is taken to continually implement best practices that will reduce our environmental impact. Examples: – Separate & Recycle all waste; target to change over to electric vehicles by 2025; Re-use “grey water” for washing Vans, Pesticide application, etc.; Employ a “green” electricity / gas provider; etc.
Tree surveys should be carried out every two years.
Newman work for or are contracted to a wide variation of clients i.e. Councils; Housing Developers; Business Parks; Hospitality; NHS; Academies / Schools; Businesses; Private projects; etc.
Our dedicated sports turf team have over 60 year’s experience in this field and can offer verti draining, top dressing, scarification and over seeding amongst other tasks to ensure your pitch is at its best. In addition, we offer a line marking service to all our academy client to complete the sports grounds services.
SustainabilityEthos
Our aim is to plant at least 100 trees a year free of charge. We are working hard with communities to encourage and teach environmentally sustainable practices.
